so when i try to run some mame roms on my tv it maginifies it enormously (mostly on older games)

it works just fine on my pc monitor so i dont understand why it does this on my tv, any ideas?

How is your PC hooked up? like with VGA or some sort of adapter? I would need to know to better understand what is causing the problem. If you can post a screen print of your MAME display settings it would help too. I am running MAME on an LCD tv with direct VGA (well UXGA) connection and it works great.
