epsxe problem (Missing text)

I tried searching the forum for my similar problem but noone is very specific in their thread titles. I did find one but i tried it and it didnt work. But anyways, When i play a psx game on epsxe i cannot view the text. I havent really tried any other games but before i recently reaquired the emulator ive played it before and had the same problem. The game im trying to play now is Crash Bash, When i pause there is no text in the box. And a game i previously played was resident evil 2 where when they talk no text comes up either. I'm guessing the problem is related. I'm using Pete's OpenGL2 Drive version 2.8 with the "Nice" settings. any help would be greatly appreciated.

try P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.14 or
Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.75
what Epsxe version are you playing on?

both versions play well on 1.5\6
if problem persists, try PSxeven or PSX
