    Default FFIX disc 3 Help!

ok i'm basically stuck occasionally at the battles i've had in desert palace my game will lock up for 15 seconds, then when it seems fixed i'll continue but all characters get stuck in attack/casting and just repeat the same motions over and over, this becomes a problem mainly with the Valia Pira since it always happens so i can't continue, i've tried using memcard saves vs save states switching ePSXe versions reloading before desert palace and doing everything over but it still happens plz Help!

are you playing from CD or from ISO?

make a CD image if possible for smoother playback,
make sure the CD is not too scratched ot whatever,

also what plugins are you using and which version of epsxe?

    Cheers and Good luck

    i'm using 1.5.2 of ePSXe
i'm using Pete's plugins for video, sound and cd and Dr.Hell's WinMM PAD Driver for the input
i'm already using an image, i found a possible solution in the ePSXe help file that came with it, seems to describe my problem and says i need to set the PCI bus speed to 33mhz/ AGP bus speed to 66mhz ( default) but i have no idea how

One thing that ePSXe seems to be really sensitive to is bus speeds which are out of spec. This means you most probably overclocked your PC. If you are experiencing problems with ePSXe crashing constantly, but never at the same location, then it could be pointing to this problem.

The only way that your bus speeds would be out of spec would be if you are overclocking, so if you are then you might want to try setting your processor back to its default settings with the PCI bus being at 33mhz and the AGP bus being at 66mhz. During testing the bus speeds only seemed to effect Final Fantasy IX, but it might also effect other games as well, so if you are having random crashing problems with any game, this would be something to give a try.
    is OUR CPU Overclocked?
set it to defaults and see if problem persists.

you could also try, ePSXe 1.6.0 or PSXeven
