Can't remember the name of a game on the playstation 1

Hi, I'm trying to remember the name of a game on the playstation 1

I think the graphics are similar to something like breath of fire 3.

I can remember you have own place and you get people from around the game world to come there, one person I remember builds an elevator for you.

There's a bit where you go to this village and a girl has been kidnapped or something, you end up rescuing her from a vampires castle/mansion.

Can't really remember anything else.

Anyone got any ideas.
