    Default Cutscenes lagging in Grandia

Well, my ps2's laser finally gave up the ghost so here I am trying to play one of my favorite oldies, Grandia, on an emulator. Problem is, all the cut scenes lag to hell and I cant for the life of me figure out why. I've searched the forums for an answer but can't seem to find one. Anyone have any suggestions?

Im using the ePSXe with Pete's openGL2 GPU 2.8. I've also tried 1.17 and a bunch of other plugins, but I just cant seem to fix of the issue.

Can you give us your PC specs? Normally better PC will give better result. Plus try to use P.E.Op.S GPU plugin (Try to click on 'Nice' setting) and Eternal SPU plugin.

Are you playing off discs or disc images? Switching to images can sometimes resolve that problem.. It's sometimes hard to correctly buffer CD/DVD-roms because they move at variable speed depending on the condition of the media and the laser, and how well it all comes together to read.
