    Default controller problem need help

my brother bought a couple of the n64/psx adapters. when we go into calibrate it jumps all over the place and all the buttons are being pressed continuously. i couldnt find a single thing on google to help. when i tried to configure the buttons in project 64 it automatically presses whatever it wants before i can configure it.

    so i cant:

    set it
    calibrate it
    or ...control it.

    can someone please help

    much thanks

Hey Genome this is a common problem with those adapters. You should not see that in the PSX only the N64? but most of the time if you plug in both the n64 and PSX at the same time the problem goes a way. The problem comes from a batch of n64 controllers. Not sure what batch but return the N64 for another and you get a 50/50 shot. This is only the n64/psx adapters that cause that. Blissbox and the wall mart brands do not as they were not based off of Simon Nield's design.

you mean plug a psx controller into the adapter at the same time and see if that works?

yeah i figured it was the controller to.

(btw glad to hear blissbox wont suffer this, the thought crossed my mind after spending 2 hours working with these things)
