Thread: a couple of questions (SNES and N64 emulators)

    Default a couple of questions (SNES and N64 emulators)

    I'm running Vista (I know, I know), and I can't figure out how to stop running a game on snes9x without doing Ctrl+Alt+Del to open the task manager.

    Also, could anyone suggest a good controller configuration for an N64 emulator? I never owned the system, and I didn't play it all that much back in the day, so I'm not really familiar with where the buttons were on the original. I use Project 64, and my controller is a PS1 knock-off. i.e. control pad, four buttons, two pairs of shoulder buttons, no joystick.

    Thanks.

    I have heard that problem with vista before. I don't know the solution but I know its vista.

    I would use the digital on psx for the digital on the n64 and analog left to analog. the right analog is useless
    start -? start
    select - ?> trigger (the trige4r is under the joystick shown as j)
    l[top] -> l
    r[top[ -> r
    l[bottom] c up
    r[bottom] c right

    then the four buttons to b,c-left,c-down,a

    If you are in USA.. Go to Walmart and buy three controllers in one adapter which is XBOX, PSX, and Game Cube (Viola...you can use it for Pj64).. It is only 9.95 dollars and buy GameCube controller if you don't have one. I heard taht PJ64 have a problem with vista so the next version will fix it which I read at pj64 forum. You should go to pj64 forum for they are the developer of pj64 emulator.

    RockmanForte does add a good point, the adapter out there are cheep. My walmart does not carry them but they are all over the net. Heck I make them.
