    Default Wii Mod-Chip

I was thinking about buying a mod-chip for my Wii, and I was wondering if there is one out now that I could install byt still be able to play online.
I found THIS, I think If I got one of these I could just take it on/off easily, but if there is one that allows me to play online I can easily solder it on if I dont need one of these

Also I would like one that is easy to use basically after I install it I can play backups rightaway without having to do a bunch of stuff.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I found THIS and I was thinking for the price I can do without onlinbe play if I have to, but I cant seem to find out if I need to do a bunch of complicating shit before I can just play backups

    Tanks for any help

I been thinking of getting a Nintendo Wii and modding it (for homebrew purposes :P)

The two modchips that seem to stick out at me are the Cyclowiz and the Wiikey. Both offer lots of features and are updatable.

But before you buy makes sure the modchip is compatible with your console. Some modchips only work with older versions of the Wii.
Also watch out for fakes. I know that there are alot of WiiKey clones out there....

If my drive chip is compatible Im gonna get a WiiKey but I might have to get a D2Ckey
that requires 30!!!!! wires to be soldered or an Argon which requires 13 wires to be soldered.

The reason is cause I might have the D2C drive chip which is the latest drive chip, and the older modchips are not compatible. I have to get a triwing screwdriver and open my wii to check which drive chip I have

PS Ive been looking around, I think the WiiKey would be much better than the cyclowiz mainly cause It looks easier to install and its been
out longer[i think] so they know what they are doing

    Hi all,
So here's the thing. Obviously there's already emulators installed on the Wii for thier virtual console. My question, then, is why can't I just upload a bunch of roms on to my Wii and start playing?

In theory you can. Most gamecube homebrew such as SNES and NES emulators run fine on the Wii in GC mode only. Recently hackers have managed to run homebrew code (I.E. Helloworld) in Wii mode so expect Wii mode homebrew in the future that will allow homebrew to access restricted resources such as the built in wireless, SD port, Wiimote....etc

What about Wiinja and Wiinja2? That's the most common modchip in Venezuela and seems to work fine. I'm not sure if it works online though.
