i downloaded a couple of games individually. i put them in the same folder as the rest of my mame roms, when i audit it doesnt detect the games. i have tried everything. and yes it is checking the correct directory.
any ideas?

Mame auditing can be a big pain in the butt. cmpro is more advanced but harder to use, and romcenter is easier to use but less powerful. First it's helpful to know what you are use for auditing. Second what type of set your looking to make (fully merged, split, ect..). I wish mame roms were like any others but they just aren't. And as you should know, just because you have a rom that does not mean its the right version. You need the rom to match the emu version (i.e 0.120). Also make sure you have the right dat file loaded.

- auditing is how you check. If the auditor wont identify it then you have either a bad rom, or the wrong dat when checking. If you using cmpro chances are you are missing 100 settings.i have no idea what version my roms are though or how to check.
they dont show up at all when i audit.
- this is only relevant if you have a "set" (lots of roms from one source) You would know if you DL'd them. We are talking in the 100's of megs to download. And if you spent that much time you should know what your downloading i would thinkand also i have no idea what type (fully, split, etc)![]()
