No, you won't. If you plan to upgrade just to play PS2 games, buy a modded PS2 instead. It's cheaper.

Wow! Finally something cheaper (relatively) in my country :happy:

Original PS2: $318.
Modded PS2: $360.

Here in the USA:

Original PS2: $99 (through gamestop store only)
Slim PS2: $129
Pre-modded Slim PS2: $224.74

Obvious it's cheaper than yours. :p
