Mame is not for beginners. its a bit tricky. In order to game a game to play the rom version in most cases has to match the mame version. So if you have a dump of the game mortal Kombat 120 it wont work on mame 101 you need the 120 version of the game. So changes are you have miss matched games. Look in to Mame renaming tools like romcenter and get a audit.
Original, the only way to play.

Wait, Mame... a bit tricky ? Not really. If you know how to use mos command prompt then it is easy and if you dont know then you dont know how to run it at all. There is no tricky. I did it for the first time and do it right away beacuse i know how to use the command prompt. It is best to learn how to use windows and comand prompt.

No, his rom must be wrong and you need to download the correct rom for it to run because mine does.

In fairness rockman, to someone who doesn't know how to use command lines or who is new to emulation, mame is probably one of the most difficult emulators to get up and running initially. Thats why there are places like EZ so they can get help.
Afterall, no-one is born knowing how to do it.

The rom is an older one and needs updating, either that or download an older (Pre 0.107) version of Mame32 from HERE.

    - RockmanForte ( "rom questions" ) -
It did happened to me when I first learned about it but now I am skill and experience with emulators so I dont have a problem.
inresponce to "i downloaded a couple of games individually. i put them in the same folder as the rest of my mame roms, when i audit it doesnt detect the games. i have tried everything. and yes it is checking the correct directory."

    - RockmanForte -
Wait, Mame... a bit tricky ? Not really.

Contradiction? Skilled being the operative word here.. Hence requiring "skill"

    - mame32 or not its just not as easy to use mame as a normal emulator. Like FT said
mame is probably one of the most difficult emulators to get up and running initially.
    - weather or not you have consummated your self to mame, or simply are the paragon "emulator kid" or just the modest type like the rest of us you cant deny mame requires a higher level of understand to use. One can't simply load up mame with games and expect it to run. Can it be done, sure.. will it get easy, of course it will. Anything is easy if you get used to it. Even the English language...
