Default Noticed somthing unusual between emulators

Right this may not be anything new to people but it is to me, I have both NO$GBA and visualboyadvance for emulation, and I noticed that on VBA the colours are much more vibrant and brighter and in your face, and on the no$GBA It's a darker and more mature look, I went on some sites to see which was the REAL colour and from looking at images I was surprised to find that the VBA was the one with the real colours, but I thought this was wierd as the other looks much better on some games, and more realistic, and I compaed golden sun in particular on the 2 emulators, and on VBA it looks very childish but on the other it looks great and older looking, but he strange thing is I could have sworn that when i had golden sun for my real GBA it was the dark older looking version, but clearly it couldn't have been because I've seen screenshots and they're all of the bright version..

Sorry for the rant, but I just wanna know, is this some kind of glitch on no$GBA? and if so how can a glitch make somthing look much better on most games? also has anybody else noticed this quite big difference?.. Now I don't know which to play my games on, the 'real' version or the beter looking one lol, but ON THAT i'd feel as if im not getin the full game even thought IMO it looks better.

EDIT - I'm comparing differences again and theres no way the VBA ont can be the real colours of games, If my golden sun would have been so bright on my GBA I would have thought it had crap graphics.. is there a chance my colour scheme for my PC is messed up so thats why the pics are bright as hell even on websites, but on the no$GBA it has the real colours of games no matter what settings there are on a PC?

Dark/Desaturated colors: Original Game Boy Advance (colors without a backlight).
Vibrant colors: Game Boy Advance SP/Micro (colors with backlight).
