    Default Project64k Help!

When I try to run Project64k, there is a graphics error message saying Direct3D failed to initialize your HAL device and to check if my graphics card is compatible with Direct3D 6.0. I have a Radeon 9200, and was wondering how do I fix this problem.

hey... i had the same problem with a radeon... though mine is a 9600. After doing what everyone said and it still wouldn't work i tried this. Go to "My Computer" in the start menu and right click the icon, go to properties-->hardware. click on the device manager and expand "display adapters" right click on your video card and click update driver. it will want to search online for a driver. let it do that. if your driver is out of date it will install a new one. also before you restart your computer go and re-install "directx 9.0" because you could have a later version or your version could be damaged. when all this is done and you have reinstalled or updated directx restart your computer. this worked for me and i hope it will work for you.
