I hope I'm some help to you.
- High Ping times are the most hated amongst online gamers. In games its critical to get a packet ASAP. But I dont see it slowing down the emu unless its sync'd to it, and I doubt that.I thought that if a person has a high ping, they make the game lag. Try using a Kaillera modifeier(such as Emulinker) to set a ping block. that way, no one over that ping limit will be able to join.
Yes I still need help.
And ulaoulao, I appricitate the help you are giving me, but a few of the questions you are asking I have answered before, if not more than once in this thread alone.
Yes it works on Project 64 1.6 fine.
It runs slow on Project 64k offline AND online.
I have tried probably all the main/major plugins created for N64 emulation, and I can't get smooth gameplay from any of them.
Hope this helps.
- That right there cuts out half this junk in the tread. So enough with the network related stuff because its now irrelevant. 9 to 10 I says its an emulator problem. You can't compare it to 1.6. AFAIK pj64k 1.6 was never "really" released. Project64k 0.13 is based on Project64 1.4..But lets say for argument its not emulator related and something you can fix (tweak) s still an option. First what wore the results of FatTrucker response another question I don't see a matching answer too. Please test the game without sound and see if it is any better at all. make sure you have frames on so you can gage it.It runs slow on Project 64k offline AND online.
update:: A bit of googling and I find this for ya..
and another post that said..Default Plugins, except for input plugin.
This game actually is pretty kick ass and you can pick Samus hell yah!
However it plays kind of jerky at times. It gets slow when lots of action also in the intro and demo.
I guess it needs some optimization.
So please try that also, since it looks like a known issue for PJ 1.4
i dunno... but if you want this game to work much better with less gfx errors.... try using jabo 1.3 for this game.... its not much hassel.... and it sure is worth it...
and just to tease you a bit, here is proof it will work!! (Editing video for choppy ness is not as easy as speeding it up) My guess is this is an honest vid.

one more helpful tip to keep in mind...
Take Jabo_Direct3D8.dll from Project 64 1.6 and paste it in Project 64k's plugin folder and re name it: Jabo_Direct3D7.dll
Thats it! now kaillera will load that plugin instead of the old one
Same thing will the other plugins, just rename them to the one's kaillera defaults to.
