Default GBA - Is it possible to upload a savegame to the cartridge?

Hi, Just wondering if it's possible to upload a save file from any GBA emulator to the cartridge itself.

Specifically, for pokemon emerald, I'm using VBA for the parts with fog (because GBA renders it opaque) and no$ for the rest (since it doesn't die after beating the elite 4 and has a working timer), converting the save file back and forth.

I know that VBA lets you export the save to a gameshark snapshot, so I suppose if it were possible to load that snapshot on a physical gba you could just hit save and be done with it, but I'm not familiar with whether that's possible/how it would work.

    Thanks for the help

The GBA it'self wont allow this, but a third party gba rom writing tool could. But chances are the data would be a different format.

So I might be able to write the rom and savefile to a blank cartridge, but not directly to the real emerald cartridge? Or I'd need a third party writer (say, a gameshark, since it exports a gameshark snapshot) to write it to the cartridge assuming format is the same?

Ya in order for this to work you would need to use one of thees interfaces and write software to wrie to the correct location on the cartage. since this is not adventitious in the consumer market it simple wont exist. This is not to ay its not possible just involves write code for it.

I dunno think it's possible without a thirdparty program :/ Dunno which to use but maybe PoPo's?
