Unactivated forum accounts

Just some small announcement regarding the forum. A user account cleanup has been performed deleting all users that registered but never activated their accounts prior to October 31 2007. If you were waiting an email activation but had at least 1 post that should not affect you.

That action was necessary so we can tune up the registration process against spam bots.

Just curious because i have knowledge of vb. How does getting rid of unactived accounts help against spam bots? They links some sort of way?

It's not directly related but that way we got rid of alot of bot accounts that were never activated(and of people that were too lazy to activate it). Now we can set up a better filter.

Still, it was announced just in case somebody's account was deleted by accident.
