Thread: Issues with Super Smash Bro.'s with me?

Default Issues with Super Smash Bro.'s with me?

This is the only game that is giving me issues. all the other games are working perfectly fine. When I start the game, it goes into fullscreen mode, but the actual screen that is being used to play the game is about 1 inch short on each side of the screen. It is kind of like 90% full screen. On the outter edges where the "full screen" part isn't being covered, theres a colorful static that is blinking, flashing, fireworking.. it makes the game to play very annoying. When I take it off of full screen mode so the screen is smaller, the window that the game is being played in is completly full, it doesnt have the outter edges that are colorfully blinking, fashing, and fireworking.

Would this be an issue with the ROM, or would this be an issue with my computer system? (ONLY this game does it, all other games work perfectly fine.

    Specs: Mac OSX
Processor 2.16 GH Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory: 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
This is the "middle" MacBook that Apple provides. (Not the lowest model, but also not the most expensive black model)

    Emulator: sixtyforce 0.9.1

Thanks for the help, sorry for any noobiness.

P.S. Mario Kart rocks my world.

I just took a note of something. The colorful static happens when I first start the game (on the outter edges of the 90% full screen). But when I press esc. to pause the game, this program reduces the window size, and pauses the game. When I start the game again, it goes back into its full screen (90% full screen) but the outter edges are a solid black now. No More Annoying Firework colors! But does it not go to fullscreen because of a bad ROM? If so, can someone send me the Zip File to a good ROM for this game ?

If your ROM was bad, it likely wouldn't play at all. Or would clearly be a lot worse all around, making the problem indisputable.

This sound like a video problem on the part of the emulator & rom compatability, or the emulator itself.

You can check around your options menus to see if there are any video options to stretch the image to fill the entire screen. This may involved unticking an option such as "enforce aspect ratio" sometimes.

Also. Please read the forum rules. You cannot ask for any info on where to get ROMS, BIOS files, or CD images and any other copyrighted matieral.. It is against our rules for legal reasons.
