"Why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam?"
"That thing is lucky I'm not armed."
I'm not smart when it comes to this but i read this on a couple of sites.
# Insert your Windows Vista Install DVD and boot from it.
# After selecting your language options choose the “Repair your computer” option in the bottom left corner.
Select your Windows Vista Installation and continue (note: my screenshot does not show an installed OS because there is none).
Open a new Command Prompt window
When command prompt is open, type the following commands (note: my screenshot shows an error as vista is not installed)
1. Bootrec /fixboot
2. Bootrec /fixmbr
The MBR/Boot Loader’s are now repaired, restart your computer and it should boot in to Vista.
I will never give up,
That is my nindo.
My ninja way!
Will this work if I mount a Vista .ISO with daemon tools.

- put the install cd in and do step one, that step copies the boot loader over and a temp dir for installing. Then the bootloader points to the new install and you just have to set it back to the old install. Now just a note.. the vist boot loader will not work with xp.
I used to clobber my xp boot loader all the time and to fix it I just started the install and as it asks for the first reboot I pop i my floppy go to dos and edit my boot.ini file.
another way is to run in repair console and use the fixboot ( Like above) and it will repair it. If you mount with vm-ware like software it will also work. If you mount the iso with DT and run fixboot it will fix the c: boot sector and make the os your running boot to vist. That is to say if you boot up on XP and do this you wont boot back to XP again.
