Besides the look and feel, is there any difference between the Xbox and 360 joysticks?

Yes, besides the fact that the button layout is different. Xbox1 controllers use USB1.1 specs, and the 360 uses USB2.0 specs. The Device IDs are obviously different, but the Vendor IDs might be the same. That's all I know about the 360's controller. I have yet to find actual hardware/register level documentation on it.
blueshogun96, very helpful thx..
I know the new ones have a 4 player select button and I just found out they are wireless. I don't actually own one as I'm not an xbox fan. How ever I'm gather data to build a usb adapter for them both, the first one was simple as it already was a usb gamepad. The 360 I guess is going to involve a r/f circuit.
um for the 360 controller you can already use it on pc with its usb i have three set up on my pc
I ya recently found that out. thx though. I may still try to get the R/f working. Be nice to use cordless.
You can buy an adapter for that too. If youre talking about a 360 controller.
