Question So confused...Animal Crossing on Emulator

I've been trying for a couple days to figure out how to get Animal Crossing on my laptop. I've downloaded three different .nds files and two different emulators

    DeSmuME.0.4.0
    NeonDS_0.1.1

and nothing seems to be working. Any time I open the Animal Crossing file it just comes up as a black screen.

    Any suggestions or help?

Dont try desmume because it is crap and wait for more releases from it and it is SOSOSOSOSO slow released. Your best bet is no$gba 2.5 and dont complaint if it is not perfectly or slow speed. It is still in progressing, ok ? be patient.

There are no DS emulators that currently play games full speed with sound. NDS emulation is still very much a WIP.

No$GBA is probably the most dynamic DS emulator available at the moment and even with that most games are so slow and/or bugged that it renders playing them frustrating and pointless.

Probably best to wait a few months then look again at the state DS emulation after there has been more development.
