I got a number of 673 from Nintendo but I don't believe that to be right.
I'm trying to find the number of nintendo games officially released in the United States.
I know it's close to 673 though.

I think they're a bit over 900 games, as far as I know.
Ok, I got the official total.
I took the nintendo list from nintendo's website and went over it. They left out 1 or 2 games on the list. 674 is the grand total of officially released licensed nintendo games.
Update: the official total is 672 offficially released titles.
Depends, do you mean games released by the company Nintendo or number of games released on the Nintendo(NES) console?
I use wikipedia.org for these type questions even if "it's not an academic resource" as my uni put it.
Here the games for NES alone http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NES_games
Do you ever think you might be taking things just a little bit too seriously?

Yeah, I know.
I do not played the unlicensed games because I find many unlicensed games rather dull and not fun. I only care about the number of nintendo games released that Nintendo is going to mention them. Unlicensed games do not count.![]()
