need help with mame32!

i'm a newbie and i need to know how to activate the cheats on mame v0.119. In the older versions like mame32 v0.103, all you had to do was go into "preferences" and click on "misc" and click on "enable cheats".....but i need help with v0.119 because its a whole new set up...please help...

OK... firstly this is an arcade question... not general chat.

Second, as far as I know cheat suppost has been dropped from MAME32 for some time now.

Thirdly, I think MAME plus! still has cheat support. So rather give that a go.

You're thinking of the HiScore support. The cheat dat is still supported in Mame and Mame32.

Make sure the cheat.dat is in the mame32 folder and from the toolbar select 'options', then 'default game options', then 'miscellaneous'. The option to enable cheats should be in there.
