i live with my two friends and we use a lynksis wireless thingy throughout the house. right now the desktop icon says im at 11 megabytes per second
3 megabit down, 256k up

3.5-4k down, dont know about up, but i think its faster....

just tell us, when u download a file from the web, how many kb or mb per sec maximum?...
The fastest I've downloaded was at 1.5MB/s
fastest was at around 1MBps, however my average is at 600KBps

Megabit = Mb
Megabyte = MB
Kilobit = Kb
Kilobyte = KB
My fastest download was 10, 10.0 kb a sec, the it went back down to 3
I know this is going to shame me forever to mention it... but where I live... in the middle of nowhere - the fastest connection I can get is 28.8 Kbps. I download at an average of 2.5 Kb.
And as if that didn't make me seem pathetic enough - I also download a Gig or two every month in... stuff of many sorts (appz, music, etc.) despite my connection.

... now everyone can outright accuse me of downloading gigs of porn... I know it's coming so I thought I'd just cover my bases... :lol:
