where to unzip game?

there are a lot of folders in mame. which one should i unzip my downloaded games to? i m asking since for 10 games that i downloaded, only one is playable and listed in the romlist... why? help newbie like me is fruitful..hehe

You shouldn't unzip them, but put them zipped in your mame\roms directory. Not all MAME games work BTW.

Check the game if it clones, playable or not and if it need additional file like bios (if bios file doesn't exist in your zip file) on mame database site.
