Booted to Black Screen While Playing
Okay, so when I ask ths question please keep in mind, I know squat about this machine.
My computer boots me out of game sites after two minutes or so and send me to the frozen black screen where I must manually turn off the CPU. I was playing an em game the other night and the same thing happened and I wasn't logged in to my ISP.
Anybody got a suggestion about what's goings on?

Could be the ROM itself, download a clean one.

Do you mean a new video game rom? It's an email attachment. And I never had a problem with them before. I never had this booting to the bios or black screen before.
Question: I had my machine reformatted because a tech told me I might have a virus on board. If that were a case, after the reformatting, if the virus had invaded my registry, would it be so deep it could be detected ot the reformatting might miss it? Thereby, still be on my machine?
