N64 vs ps1

ok, my friends and i have been arguing.which system had better graphics?n64 or ps1.I think its a no-brainer, but gonna get u guys input.or maybe....Saturn??never played one, so not sure about it.

Varied from game to game and depends on what criteria you include in 'better graphics'.

The graphics on the N64 were certainly cleaner looking overall but suffered from some horrific fogging and most games generally lacked fine detail in favour of clear primary colours and bland texturing. Some games were better than others, particulalry those that used the ram expansion pack like Turok 2 and Perfect Dark.

Some of the games on PS1 were a shitty, jagged mess but others were very nicely done and detailed, the draw distances were better, as was the overall speed that everything moved at. In some titles such as Silent Hill the grainy grittier look of the graphics actually worked really well.

So tough one to call based on what you class as 'better'. Overall I would say the Playstations graphics were more flexible and effective but the N64's were neater although mainly only on games that used the ram expansion.

Technically the Nintendo 64 has better graphics, but it depends on how much effort the developers put in creating games and how they use the development tools.

im playing n64 for pretty much the first time on project 64.so far i say gameplay and graphics are better.however that is just my opinion

ff7 was great.my first rpg other than zelda.i was dissapointed with ff8 . never played ix(heard was no good anyways).with x u couldnt even fly ship??????what the fuck??thats what made ff7 in my opinion.but if ff7 was to be sony's savior,they are in bad shape.personally i like xbox and nintendo better.

There are 2 ships that you can fly on Final Fantasy IX. They are the Hilda Garde 3 and the Invincible. I haven't been furter in the game, so I don't know if you can get the Red Rose to fly too.

N64 in most cases. The only PSX games that looked better where certain RPGs. At least the PS2's graphics filtering option makes PSX games the way they should have looked.
