Choose Wick O.S.????

I changed some stuff with TuneUp Utilities{theme,boot screen,logon Screen} and now whenever I boot up my computer it asks me wich O.S. I want. There are two choices 1.Windows XP 2.Windows XP(tuneup backup), i think thats what it says.

So what im asking is there any way to delete the backup O.S. or a way to make it autoselect Windows XP. Thank you for any help.

There's a way to edit this OS Selection List, but I highly recommend to leave things as they are, because if you mess with the OS' core components such as boot screens, there's a chance you won't log in to Windows anymore.

Right click on My Computer and then click on Properties.
Click on Advanced.
Click on Settings in the Startup and recovery group.
The settings are in the System Startup group.

Proceed with EXTREME caution.

I do it all the time. Change the Time out to 0 making sure windows XP is the first OS.

Or like he said Right click My computer > properties > advanced >Startup and recovery > Settings. I dont see how you can mess your computer up By setting your OS as defualt and Uncheck Both Time to display options. There is no real way to mess that up...........atleast i havent been able to.

Ive messed up when changing the boot screen before but I managed to fix it by booting into safe-mode and undoing what I had changed.

If you do mess up your boot menu, you can easily fix it by booting from your Windows XP installation CD (I dont know how you would do this if you have a preinstalled copy) then when it asks you to either install Windows XP or load the Recovery Console, press "R" to load the recovery console. Then once that has loaded, type "fixboot" in and press enter. This will recreate the boot.ini file that contains the list of OS'es you have installed on you computer.
