    Default DirectX Problem

Well, somehow I don't have Direct3D anymore. I have no idea why, but because of this I cannot play any emulators, like PJ64.

I decided the solution was simple, and i re downloaded DirectX. Then I ran a dxdiag to test Direct3D; apparently I still don't have it installed.

If anybody can help me with this problem, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I took some screenshots of what comes up when I try to run Project 64:

    And then with Dolphin:

I have no idea why they say that I don't have Direct3D downloaded...

    • Are you using a video card or integrated video?
    • Are you using a stardard Windows XP version (Home/Professional)?
    • Is that DirectX 9.0c?
    • If you're using a video card, have you installed the latest drivers?
    • If you're using integrated video, does it have enough shared memory for Direct3D to work? Direct3D requires at least 8 MB of shared memory.

Make sure the slider on the troubleshooting tab of advanced video configuration is all the way to the right.
I hate all of you, especially donkeyknob.

    Butters:

I'm using an ALL-IN-WONDER 9700 SERIES video card.
Yes, I am using Windows XP Home Edition.
    It is version DirectX 9.0c.
I went to the website ti download the latest drivers, but when I download it it says that the current version is already installed.
I'm not sure if it's integrated video or not, though...how can I check, or fix it for that matter?

    onewecallgod:

    Where is the slider at?

    That's not integrated..

    You can try reinstalling directx..

But more importantly, are you sure you have the video plugins for your emulator ? Because those errors look like you don't have any plugin installed (or selected) for your video rendering.

He stated he ran the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and found out his Direct3D acceleration is disabled or not supported.

    Try re-downloading and re-installing Project64 first.
