Cheats?

I know that Zsnes has a cheats option and I think Visual boy Advance does and ePSXeCutor has a configuration section for cheats, and I was wondering just how these work, I think Zsnes has a search button, how does it work?

I wish there was a cheat form so people could ask for cheats and people like me could make them making cheats are more fun then playing the game sometimes !! anyway this may help you a little.
