    Default DosBox help

Hi, I have followed many steps to try and run a game but it will not work. The game that I have is a windows 95 cd-rom game. I did all the mount applications but am still stuck on what to do to actually install and get the game running. Can anyone help? Thanks

DOSBox is for DOS games, not Windows games.. Kinda why it is named DOSBox

Zach's right if its a windows 95 game then you shouldn't need DOSBox.

Are you using XP? If so have you tried runing it in windows 95 mode, to do so right click on the executable(.exe) and go to properties then click the compatibility tab, tick the box which says "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select windows 95. Hopefully that will work.

By the way what game is it you're trying to play?

Also note that some games, despite whatever settings you put on them, will probably only work at random. (For me, The House of The Dead randomly works when I try it, regardless of what settings I put on it, including nothing, not even compatibility mode! )

    Your right hand comes off?

I play my older games like this:
    - Download and install Virtual PC (freeware)
    - Install win95 on your virtual disk
    - Run win95 and play
You have to be a bit familiar with installing older Windows versions (use of fdisk).
