CD changing problem

I'm playing Chrono Cross (.img file) on PSX 1.11 and now I got to the point where I have to change CD, so I'm supposed to first press "Eject CD" and after that "Insert CD image" like I really was playing on PS, right? Well, when I press Eject CD, nothing happens, the program tilts and it has to be shut down. Could somebody provide any kind of help concerning this problem?

I would consider using ePsxE and PSXeven, disc swapping is easier to do with them
