Resident Evil 2 end-game Freeze

Hey guys, I've been emulating Resident Evil 2 using ePSXe and everything seems to be running fine til i get to a certain part of the game. I'm playing as Leon and for anyone who has played through the game, it freezes during the scene where Ada falls after being shot from Annette. I have my ePSXe video plugin set to the "nice" setting for any1 wondering. Any responses would be awesome.

Oh btw, as i was playing the game up to the part where it freezes, i noticed that some of my dialogue during the cutscenes were missing. Also, whenever an earthquake happened (like when Willam Birkin jumps on top of the elevator train that leads to the umbrella secret lab) my characters would flicker. Idk if that has anything to do with the freezing, but whatever

I would try peopsoft v1.17. Its the most compatible gpu plugin. If that does help Play it with PSXevenv0.19. It works almost perfect on it.
