Pokemon Leafgreen problem

I've searched everywhere for answers to my problem, but failed miserably.
Hopefully someone here can help me out.

Anyways my problem is after beating the elite four in leafgreen, the credits roll and it says the end...then the screen stays black.

I've read its cause in the real version it would be resetting the gba and it would start up again and you would be in the starting house, of course its not working in the emulator (at least with me).

So is there anyway i can carry on playing the game after defeating the elite four?

Help would be appreciated

I believe that the LeafGreen and FireRed versions are not completely complete on an emulator though I could be wrong. At least, that's what I've heard from other users.

I hope thats not true, otherwise that just sucks for me.

Again, I don't know if it's true or not but look around on other forums, they may have a better answer than I do.
