gotta agree with jbone1337 you should use visual boy advanced instead of no$gba

check the configuration file, maybe the save path is set to load saves from somewhere else. you could also try snes9x as jbones1337 said

if you are having trouble running the sims 2 you may want to just get a copy of the PC version and use that

.srm is the save file, make sure it is the same name as the rom
