Hmm....I think you need to try JPCSP 0.6. It requires Java to run exactly. But it is much easier than the PCSP.

Why don't you use your keyboard? because it looks easier and controller is just an optional device. But sure, using keyboard is more tricky than using analog stick.

I think the best PSP emulator is JPCSP.
