That is very very odd, where did you download your emulators? Do you gain control over your usb devices when you turn off the emulators? What system OS are you running?

I don't see why they shouldn't, the input is being triggered within the controller, so it should translate to inputs in the emulator. Why? Don't have a way of testing it?

A lot of plugins are direct x based, which is primarily windows. Do you have any OpenGL video plugins? Those should be in the drop box.
