They're probably splitted. Make sure all "zip" files are in the same folder and extract the first one. The rest will extract automatically and the file extracted will merge into one GCM file.

Even if the frame rate is capped at 30 FPS in most games, an emulator requires to be run at 60 FPS for smooth gameplay. My guess is that you would need a faster CPU (Intel Core i7 for isntance)....

Try using an older version such as 1.5.2 and see what happens. Many games that failed to load on newer versions managed to boot on 1.5.2.
