I did the same thing in Nebula. Downloaded the neogeo.zip and I didn't extract the thing from the *rom*.zip and placed it in the right folder. The problem now is, I can't see it when I rescan.

Try having the same version of the bios like the version of the emulator it probably doesn't recognize it either because its outdated or the emulator is old and the bios updated trust me I had the problem with mame.I hope this helps.;)
