HElp trouble shooting

I got my xbox modded. i have followed the guids on getting the xbox FTP. I have tryed the regular direct using the internet an typing in the Ip address I have also download the program to use. But it still does not let me connect to the xbox. It keeps telling me that i do not have access to the folder. I have also look inside my xbox in the network section of my xbox. But their is nothing there it keeps rebuting when I go into that section. What can I do to connect to the hard drive with out taking everything apart? I have the unleashx for dashboard. I want to upload a cople of emulators to the xbox.
