Old Sega Genesis Game: need an expert

I am trying to find an old Sega Genesis Game. I remember playing it a lot as a young kid, and I would like to visit my past. I'll try to describe it as best as I can, but remember I was around 7 years old when I played it.
First off I think it was a weird East Asian name, ?maybe? 5 letters long. It was an ape or monkey travelling through worlds getting to the end of the level. I remember one of the worlds being ice and the ape slid making it hard to navgate. It is not Super Monkey Ball.
Please help, sorry for the lack of info. this is why I need an expert. List as many games which come close, I'll try them all.
