A lot of people think that they can download a rom and use it for 24 hours and delete it. I don't know about other countries but this isn't true in the US. I just say fuck it and play whatever game I want. I don't think Nintendo is going to pay thousands of dollars to sue me for what few dollars I have over a game of Mario Kart. :)
Downloading roms is illegal weather it is for 24 hours or one minute.
The whole "24 hour rule" is just stupid and will not save any webmaster from the problems he might get from companies.
Exactly... one person simply created the concept in an attempt to cover his/her ass and everyone followed in suit. Watch all the fuzzy sheep walk over the cliff with the leader. :P
It's a un-useful statement which no-one reads in the first place (at least I never did) and which even fewer follow.
