Do the emulator developers collect data?

Hello, everyone,

What about the following scenario. You create an iso of a game and bypass the copy protection. Then you play this iso with an emulator app from Smartpone.

Now how do you know if the app doesn't send data to the developer about what was played and the developer then sells it to the game's publisher? The apps in the background data tracking is no longer a secret.
From what I've read, the Damon PS2 emulator makes a license check at any time to see if the app has been paid and even requests access to the contacts.By purchasing the app from the Google playstore you would be easily traceable. So you have to ask yourself what other data is recorded there.

or is that totally absurd?
or could such data even be used as evidence?

This is not really an emulator problem, any app on Android devices or iphone/ipad could collect data. And the game publisher would be the least concern, the data could be sold to anyone. Be careful on what you install to your mobile devices or PC.
