The Legend of Zelda will release in 2017 for NX, Wii U

The next new Zelda game for Wii U is still planned for a 2016 launch, Nintendo announced today.


Nintendo showed a brief clip from the upcoming Zelda adventure during its Nintendo Direct presentation. While he did not nail down the release date beyond the 2016 window, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime did announce that it would be compatible with the new Wolf Link amiibo packaged with the upcoming HD remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
