Controllers & emulation for Android

Hey!
I just bought a new android phone (BLU life 8 xl) and downloaded a bunch of emulation apps. I tried to use an xbox 360 wired controller, but it was unresponsive and light just kept blinking.
I downloaded USB/BT joystick center gold from a page (I couldn't find it on the play store). The app made the controller work, but it needs a licence. Since I can't get the Play Store's page for the app I can't pay the licence. Where can I buy the licence or get the cracked app?
all the info i find about the USB/BT joystick center seems to be old. Is there a newer solution for using controllers on android?
