MAME Help

So at one point on my older machine I was able to get MAMEUI32 working flawlessly. Now I have refreshed my system to have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and I've multiple versions of MAMEUI32, MAMEUI64 and even IVPlay. The only minor success I've had is with the IVPlay which I am not really a fan of. When I start MAMEUI64 it starts fine but tryign to play a game I get nothing but a black screen....Not sure what the issue could be. Does anyone have any suggestions to get these version to work?

So just a quick update. Setting the display to Direct Draw seems to make ROMS run however they look a little hazy. Any suggestions? When I have it set to Auto under display, I don't seem to get anything on the screen.

The default video mode is Direct3D version 9. If you're not using HLSL, then it should just work on win7 as is. However if you do want to use HLSL, then version 9 is required. You can get what you need from microsoft.
