Advice / List of: all known Mac- compatible gaming controllers for common emulators?

Hey guys;

sorry if this has already been discussed in a previous thread (if so, a link to that thread would be most appreciated!)

So,

For some reason, i'm having an unexpectedly tough time finding much information about other controllers that can be used to play emulators on Mac OSX other than Xbox 360 & PS3 controllers.

I'm sure those would be fine, but I just feel like there must be some other 3rd party controllers that i could turn to first, before having to resort to the clumsy D-pads of Microsoft's & Sony's controllers.

Anybody have any suggestions, or can anyone send me a link to a list of known Mac-compatible controllers?
