Final Fantasy I & II Dawn of Souls Rom crash when I start a new game

Good evening,

I just downloaded the No$gba emulator and I wanted to play FF I & II DoS and everything loads up fine, but when I try to start a new game for either I or II the rom crashes; I was hoping someone could help me with my issue. I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

I am using the newest version of no$ (the donator one)

Have you bothered trying the newest version of DesmuME?
