KOF'96 NEO-GEO Collection in NeoRaine

I tried to run KOF'96 NEO-GEO Collection with NeoRaine 1.4.1, and the game ran nicely, except for one problem (excluding the occasional graphical glitches): after every voice track (the voice actors' self-comment and Mai's introduction for Joe), the game hangs but doesn't freeze or crash (the emulator still runs normally and in-game animations still appear, but the in-game controls don't work at all).

Of course, I considered the possibility of this problem being fixed on 1.4.2, so I searched for it. However, it not only was still present, but also absolutely no sound track was readable for the emulator, rendering 1.4.2 worse than 1.4.1 and useless for me.

Anybody knows what could be wrong here? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
