SSF Freeze and Crash

Hello. I am having some trouble with the Sega Saturn SSF emulator. I am able to get certain games to work fine on it, but others will just load up a black screen in the emulator. After this happens, the whole emulator freezes and I have to ctrl+alt+del to get rid of it.

For example, my disc of Megaman 8 (Japanese version) works fine. But I can't get my discs of Virtua Fighter Remix and X-Men: Children of the Atom to work at all. Does anyone know what I should try to do? Thank you, it is appreciated.
