MAME will not work on Windows 7 Ultimate 64. Period. Help!!

I am so aggravated right now! My laptop, which runs Win 7 Ult 64 bit will not play nice with any version of MAME or MAMEUIFX. Every single time I try to launch a game from the interface, I get a nice message from Windows saying "MAME (insert version here) has stopped working." I have tried many different builds of MAME. 32 bit, 64 bit, it doesn't matter. They all do this when I try to launch a game! Please help! Thanks in advance!
